You download the software seperately, I will try to find links for everything you need but the main source of info is http://www.romraider.com

OK prices are here:

Prices are in USD so use a website like http://www.xe.com to do a basic conversion. As it turns out, shipping jumps in price due to the extension cords as they weight comparitively more!:
- 5 OpenPort 2.0 and 5 OBD2 extension cables - $184 each plus shipping of $86.44
- 10 OpenPort 2.0 and 5 OBD2 extension cables - $152.10 each and $13.50 each respectively, plus shipping shipping of $121.27
- 15 OpenPort 2.0 and 5 OBD2 extension cables - $152.10 each and $13.50 each respectively, plus shipping of $121.27

Basically, the key number to get to is 10 as we will get the 10% discount, and shipping will work out to around $12 each as an estimate (plus shipping from Sydney to where you are located). Based on current numbers of 5 OpenPort 2.0 and 7 extension cables, it should work out to around about the same, $12 each for shipping.

How does this sound? Am I making sense?

Certainly can mate! Does anyone know how much it would cost to have one of these cords shipped here so we can compare savings?

PS I'm going to guess that as it was $200 delivered for an OpenPort 2.0, and given that the extension cable is heavier, it would cost at LEAST $31 in shipping, therefore you'd be paying around $46 delivered for an extension cord, compared to around $25-28 based on current numbers...

Update:

My logic was slightly flawed, the shipping quotes were based on one shipped order to one address, we would have been doing it in two orders to two addresses so the total value wasn't over $1,000 (customs). Also, the 10% discount only applies to the one order, can't be applied if it is two orders. This affects our discount and shipping savings...

Also.....what I've been told by Tactrix is that 1 OpenPort 2.0 and 1 extension cable costs around $204 shipped...might be more worthwhile everyones time to order it themselves as the saving doesn't seem to in it?

However, for the guys that just want an extension cord, it might still be worth your while to have 4 or 5 of them shipped with my personal order but you still might only see a saving of $10 or so on shipping...

What are people's thoughts?

Haha the FAQ on Tactrix website says they don't do this as it is too risky for them as a business which is understandable!

are you suggesting instead of going ahead with the GB, we will be better off buying one ourselves?

Im happy with whichever way you decide to go about this Rome :)

Well I've never been one to chase pennies, I just don't see it being worth everyone's time or my own to save what could end up being around $10-$15 in shipping...just doesn't seem logical to go through the effort for a 2-3% saving.

That's why I recommend the members who want OpenPort 2.0 with an extension, order it individually shipped to your address, no hassle. For the members that just want the extension cord I'm working out whether it is more cost effective for them to have it sent in one order then on shipped from there.
