Na, he was very busy.

I'll ring again tomorrow to double check the prices and ask about multiple units.

Yeh, the db polk range was cheaper then the MM. Although they were almost identical in specs

I will report once it's done.

If anyone wants these installed in Melbourne (including dynamat on the parcel shelf) I can help out for a small fee (nothing ridiculous but yea). Just supply the sub and the dynamat and will get it done.

Mine quote $199 for MM and $119 for DB.

Do you know the difference? specs are exactly the same but they use a different type of magnet and DB isn't as shallow.

The MM has a better power handling (250W RMS for the MM vs 180W RMS for the DB) and is more efficient (90dB for the MM vs 85dB for the DB). The resonant frequency of each is a big difference. The MM has a resonant freq of 35Hz whereas the DB has a 49Hz resonant frequency.

The MM will play lower frequencies better than the DB series. It is more efficient than the DB and has better power handling than the DB. All in all, the MM should sound smoother than the DB.

Will you notice the difference between the three subs: stock/DB/MM with running off stock Mcintosh/Clarion amp?

I would say you would. The bass from the MM will be smoother and clearer than the DB.
