Perhaps check with Tactrix for discounted pricing for volume.

Price if you buy 5 or 10 etc.

Also a check on the price of the extension cable might be the go.

Any update on this?

This would have to be one of the best things to buy for your car. Far better than a ECU datascanner.

I'm surprised this hasn't taken off.

I'd be interested in this; is it still looking likely?

PS took some initiative and emailed them for group buy prices.

Wow talk about a quick response!

They emailed me back today and said there will be a 10% discount on 10+ units, but the main savings will come from shipping. I've asked for quotes for 5, 10 and 15 units to my address as an estimate, I can then ship on to everyone seperately :) He is coming back to me tomorrow with a shipping quote.

GB do you mind if I start a new thread?

Can someone also tell me what we need for these to work with our cars? Do we just order the OpenPort 2.0 cable or do we get the extension as well etc.

You need a laptop and the free OpenECU software. You can then read or flash your ECU. To do more you can down the free RomRaider software and log your car's performance parameters. Then you get the free Leaning View software (from the RonRaider site) which allows you to clear read and clear CEL codes and do other stuff too.

Unless you are going to tune your car you might be better off with:

1/ http://www.telstra.com.au/latest-offers/flybuys/
for $49.50 (you don't need to use a SIM card for this to work)

plus

2/ https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... 3JxdWUiXQ..
for $4.85

plus

3/ http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HHOBD-Torque ... 256a87d864

for less than $40.

You get to pick your own gauges, check your 0-100k times, read and clear CEL codes and lots more.

Haha you misunderstood my question. I know the software that is needed, I already have it. I meant what did we need to order from the tactrix website, whether it was just the OpenPort 2.0 or whether an adapter or extension cord was needed. I already have my tactrix cable, arrived in the mail Tuesday of this week :D

When I am doing something on a GT I use the standard USB cable with a 0.5 meter extension cable as the OBD connector is against the right side of the drivers foot well and I route the cable over the steering column to the laptop on the passenger seat to keep it out of the way. You don't need anything else.

Have you tried this android setup and if so is it fairly accurate?

Since I already have the phone I figure it would be amusing to try it out.
