Time for another email lol.

You might want to actually call him as the chance of getting a response via email is quite slim atm...

You might be at risk of having such a high order that K2 gear will think you're trying to supply this product yourself in Australia

We're being transparent about everything, that includes the manufacturer, supplier and most importantly, YOU!
The point of a GB is to promote products for the manufacturer and supplier, and in turn make them more fiscally accessible for prospective purchasers.
All the purchaser needs is patience (preferably LOTS).
If you require instant gratification, just buy direct and wear the cost: if you bought right IMHO, you'll soon forget the price of admission! 8)

But are you not being deceptive with the prices listed in the first page? Phat has already said he had nothing to do with the prices you have put up weeks ago but you are now saying phat is doing the order.

So what happens to the group buy if the price listed STILL after all this time turns out to be a pipe dream? You will lose 50+% of the eoi and then the prices you do get will be worthless because you cant commit to the supplier what you told them you could?

The best way to do a group buy is to go about it in the GROUPS interest. :D

Great point! It reflects how we wanted the GB to pan out, ideally.
I discussed losing plus "50+% of the eoi" with Taylor a fortnight ago, in that exact context.
It's a pipe dream for sure, with strong interest. We are considering some options whilst waiting for figures.

That said I'll definitely consider any edits to the GB OP for everyone's satisfaction.

Keiran's point is what I've been trying to say for a while. Phat himself knows that below $300 is unattainable so maybe you should update this group buy to discuss how many of the 50+ would still be interested if the price was say: $350 and $325 rather than $290 and $250.

Its also going to depend on exchange rates which arent the best at the moment. Id be happy to pay anything upto $400.
