Ok...we have done some test fitting and I am afraid to say it has not gone according to plan.
The mufflers have not been made perfectly as per our original sample and so the tips are contacting on the rear opening. Not sure how as we had tested the evaluation set and they were perfect...but what we have here is not perfect.
The exhaust workshop advised the easiest way to resolve it is simply have an exhaust shop fit them and they can heat and tweak the rear exhaust pipe to move the tips about the required 10mm to centralise the tips. Currently rear tips are touching the rear exhaust opening. I asked him how much would he charge to do that and he said he wouldnt charge extra as its minor to do during fitting - however no doubt some workshops would charge to do it.
So what we will be doing is simply selling these very cheaply - with the condition that the tips will not be sitting centred (most likely touching the rear exhaust tip opening) and you will need to have exhaust shop install and mod them to get them centred and sitting right.
That means if you want to install it in your garage - DONT - as its most likely the tips will be touching the rear bar on one side----You SHOULD take it to an exhaust shop to install and mod. This is the condition of sale - not negotiable!
So what does a set of twin tip stainless steel mufflers cost where the tips touch the rear bar and need an exhaust shop to install and fix it?
$260 plus delivery (delivery cost depends on your postcode - please using the shipping calculator on our website when mufflers are loaded - not email me)
The mufflers are very nicely constructed and look great and sound great. Also be aware that these muffler tips are all connected to the internal baffles and also the muffler which is the premium way to make a set of mufflers - they are not just welded to the outer muffler - as you will find with some other mufflers.
We have limited stock (thanksfully!) so will load these on the website in the coming days.
We didnt take a sound file on the stock car - however here is a sound clip on a Turbo back Lib - using our similar twin tip mufflers....

--- Exhaust shop advised they would heat here and tweak as marked on picture to centre the muffler tips ---
Cheers
