i've been following this thread for a while now. the quality of the goods looks great.

do you have photos or a description of the internals of the exhaust section? esp. interested to know if it's got any sound absorbtion and what type.

thanks.

the internals of the mufflers are straight through, im still working on a detailed drawing of the internals.

here is a picture, you can see straight through the muffler

ooohh certainly is straight through - interested to see how noisy it is and where the 1-2 transistion sits.

Still keen to test fit onto my custom midpipe (still run stock rears so should bolt up

What pipe diametre are the outlets and inlet?

hey guys

the mufflers will suit fine if you have the stock mufflers already.

the diamter of the inlet is 2.5" and the exit is twin 2.5" pipes.

bad news about the 06 twin scroll, my 06 sti spec C dump pipe will not suit as it needs to be a totally differant shape.

here are some installed pictures

Were they noisy? 2.5" inlet is on the big side - I'm guessing yes

Still keen to try, but I want to keep noise low

look good!

As Tony has stated above, the full system was fitted to my GT-B late last friday.

I'm very impressed by Tony's attitude to fitment. For the first fit up a system he certainly seems to be striving for as close to perfection as possible. I'd also like to personally recomment Mick and the team at Men @ work exhausts in Capalaba.

The quality of the fitment from the side on is also worth noting, as the exhaust hugs the undercarriage very well and doesn't hang down and become unsightedly or dangerous if I was to lower the car in the future. While this most likely happen due to the driveway I have at my house and the sharp kerb I have to drive over, it is important to many others considering it.

First impressions of the sound is very good, but I'll reserve my judgement on it until it has sooted up a bit, and I've had it in the car for a reasonable period.

The car goes in for tuning tomorrow, so we'll soon see what kind of performance benefits it has. I've been granny driving it on intelligent mode, so I don't think it's seen greater than 50% throttle yet.

Thanks ;az, how loud is it? Do you have the whole system? How many resonators before the mufflers?

Any chance of a mp3 file?

Ihave the full turbo back system.3" dump into cat into single resonator, Y pipe into twin muffs.

Volume is very subjective, so what I will say is that when I had my RS Liberty with 3" dump into SS cat into resonator and single 2.5'' rear diff back with oval muffler I was able to be heard before I opened the auto garage door by my partner, I asked her about the same question with this system and she said she didn't.

I wouldn't say it's loud, but it's deep, so I think the boot makes a bit of an echo chamber for it.

Tony has vids from when we cranked it up, we'll probably do more tomorrow after tuning.

Got any pictures of it on the car when it's not up on a hoist and shows the entire car?

No I don't I'm afraid. I might organise some good ones with Tony tomorrow. He has a better camera than I do

Yep, it has a very low resonance, Barry White style. Sounds good.

Another indication of noise levels is that driving around so far I haven't had to increase the volume on the stereo for it to sound the same.

Is that larger than stock? What is stock, 2.5" ?

And excuse me, I've forgotten... would this fit a MY04 with the twin scroll turbo?
