its finally good to have all the exterior lights in and working. had a few speed bumps along the way but Leo has been an excellent help giving guidance and most of all patience. I have upgraded all driving lights to HID, licence plate lights and attempted reverse lights a few times first to HID, then to LED.
when i installed the HID reverse lights there was some kind of electrical disturbance interfering with the speaker system everytime i shifted into reverse (manual) and also out of reverse. i tried to isolate the problem using a multimeter but was unable to find the source. Leo so helpfully sent some other ballasts that he had i believe out of his own car that were working properly and sent them no questions before i had sent the other ones back. i then changed it all over and still had the same problem. i then sent the HID's back to Leo and then tried the LED 5Wcree reverse lights in a hope they would do the trick, my driveway is cluttered with cars and other stuff that is hard to see at night and there just wasnt quite enough spread with the LED's, so back to stock i had to go.
the low beams were factory bi-xenon self levelling HID's, got replacement bulb at 5000k, upgraded fog lights to 5000k HID conversion, and hi-beams also to 5000k HID conversion. these have been great since day one, very noticeable difference in both light dispersion and aesthetics, the parkers are now 9smd LED and compliment the new HID's perfectly. the licence plate lights were changed to 5smd LED's and look awesome, gives the rear end a more luxury feel. i have also changed the indicator bulbs to "philips silver vision wy21w" (wedge type) from advice from Leo who offered to buy them and send them up to the NT as i was having great trouble getting a place locally to source them and order them in for me.
so the exterior of the car (light-wise) is finished and i wouldnt change a thing, was a very safe journey as i was never without help. so i thank you Leo for all the help, you are highly recommended by many people on this forum (myself included) if it wasnt for the posts on this forum i would never have heard of or even trusted HKS_180 but i am very glad i did, thanks again Leo, cheers
