What kind of high beams globes do the My08's take? And do you stock them? And are there any high powered ones? (Don't want to go HID)

Cheers,
George

Im looking at going after market halogens for my highbeamers, the ones Leo mentioned 'Philips diamond vision globes' are 5000k pure white in colour, look at attached eBay link (one based in aus the other hong kong), you can get much cheaper eg. around $30-$50

Hope this helps, when I can be bothered I'll be doing this myself :)

I've got those diamond visions, didn't want HIDs for highbeams (but considering them now).

Basically, ordered, received and installed replaced, very easy indeed.

Don't get me wrong the HIDs I have installed on my low beams and fogs from Leo are amazing I just wanted to stay closer to oem, for my highs something that I can always change later to HIDs if I'm not impressed with these halogen globes..

Can I ask Ian whereabouts did you purchase yours from??

That was my exact thoughts.... can always change later. I got my bulbs from an Ebay seller, bought a pair for my old Celica and he gave a discount for buying "more"

Edit: Just check, he don't have stock now. I'm sure you can find heaps on ebay, just watch out for imitation, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

Bought Low beam HID's, ballasts, Dome light, map lights and numberplate LED's from leo last week. Installation was a walk in the park! HID's one of the best mods you can do for the price, Great service, speedy delivery. Step by step instructions (with photos). Highly recommended! Will buy from again without doubt!

Thanks LEO!

Hi Leo,

Had a close read through this thread and would love to upgrade my parkers, low beam and high beams with 5000K HIDs - can you PM more details? As I'm in Syd, would be keen to pop around for you to install as I have absolutely ZERO clue! :D
