Out of curiosity, is this mod only worth it if the rest of the exhaust track is upgraded from stock as well? I'm ready to blow some money on something.

From my experience with the AVO downpipe on my 2.0T, no, it's not necessary to do the rest of the exhaust. I've got an AVO downpipe, with stock exhaust and STi diffback mufflers.

Also for me, the 2.0T AVO downpipe looks better than what it looks like on the webpage.

You'll still get some gains from just the dump pipe as your getting rid of the slow flow std cats and replacing them with one high flowing cat. Also the bit just off the turbo is going to help the gasses flow easier/faster than std.

But after you do this, the rest of the exhaust system wil become the "weakest link".
