Hey Guys,
My name is Alex, and i'm looking to buy a Subaru Liberty STI or GT spec B 07-08 model cause i'd rather the 6 speed manual trans.
i'd really like a pearl white one cause i really think they look good. i'm trying to sell my Mazda 3 MPS 08 model so i can buy a liberty. but i've been looking for a while its really hard to come across a white 6speed manual liberty and if it came with the sat nav it would just be an absolute bonus.
now i just wanted to ask you guys a few Q's. what were the factory upgrades other than the sat nav in the GT spec B and GT tuned by STi? i've seen some people advertise a macintosh stereo system also? whats the stereo like and is it worth looking for a liberty with or without this. when i buy the liberty i want to keep it pretty much standard.
also any tips anyone has for me whilst looking for a second hand liberty would be great and extras to look out for.
any input on this topic would be greatly appreciated and i'd hope to join your forum as a Subaru liberty owner very soon.
Thanks in advance, Alex.

All gt and sti came with the mcintosh sound which to me is really good for a stock system. Sub needs upgradin though. They also all came with leather. And most have sunroofs.
there is a 6speed in pearl white in sa just gone up on car sales. Keep an eye out as they pop up every so often.

I'm in NSW though so I don't know if I'd go for something interstate. But thanks for replying to my post.

I've just bought an '04 MY05 GT Sedan with the 5spd manual box. The only options from factory were satnav, mica paint and the auto. Came standard with leather, sunroof, mcintosh audio, electric everything and cruise.
If you plan on keeping the car stock, consider going an earlier model like mine with the 5spd. After driving an auto for 4 years, I've found it's a really easy box to use, both in shifting and clutch feel. It cruises at 100kmh at 2500rpm, which is pretty good for an engine with a 7500 redline. I haven't had any experience with the 6spd box, only I know they will take way more power when it comes to mods v's the 5spd. But if you are keeping it stock, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the 5spd box

Yeah but I'm used to the 6 speed manual box in my MPS so I'd want to stick with a 6speed manual. Thanks for the input anyway.. Hopefully I can find a liberty soon enough.. Anyone on the forum here that has a stock manual white GT or STI 07-08 model they want to sell?
