I would like to get some heated seat inserts to put into my 2009 GTB-R. If the U.S.A version has heated seats then why can't the kit be bought & then I'm willing to pay someone to do the install.

Came on europe spec ones. They are very handy in winter as they warm up almost instant.

I shall, I see by your post that you own the 3litre six cylinder verion. Can I ask you why you chose this car over the 2.5 turbo?

I did but sold it. I got it because they are alot easier to find and cheaper then the GT's and being a 20yr old with insurance seemed like the choice

Thank you, never really thought of that reasoning though it makes sense. I'm in Melbourne, I've had the car for 2months now & it costs around $800 to insure, I'm rating 1 & almost 40.

I drove the 30 litre & didn't mind it in manual but thought if I was to have a six then I'd expect more torque than it gave stock. also I found the new price to be excessive with Subaru not really into much discounting.

Was yours manual or auto?

The reason I got mine was that I didn't think much of the new shape & finally mine came with satnav & stability control. For me I coulnd't think of another AWD vehicle out there around 40-50k that was of it's size & had it's punch.

Mine was a Manual, High end torque was fine for me but needed some serious tune to rid of that low lack down torque...

The only thing close in the Audi Sline A4 2.0L but falls short in the power.

did you ever get your 6 tuned? Wonder if it had much impact on fuel economy?

Never did. Had it for 8 months and didnt do much to it... Most tunes are same if not bettert fuel economy wise if you tame that right foot.

Ha yes! Often I would refuel my old B4 & decide that 'this' was the week of no turbo use, then of course the first moron jumps in front then I go around & my consumption target is gone.

I would be interested in this for sure, provided the controls could be implemented in a neat manner into the dash, like the cigarette lighter compartment or something.

Would definatly be interested in this, would it be difficult to transfer the heated seats from a euro/us model into a aus model?

I'm speaking with FHI about a package with a wiring loom, verifying there is no difference between the U.S & Oz models, I see no reason why they wouldn’t. In the centre console (of my 09 Lib anyway) there is a piece of plastic that is clearly the cutaway that is used in the U.S model for placement of the rotary switch that works for both the driver & passenger. This is where they'll be placed so it should look fine.

I've watched a few guys on Utube install them, one on an older Rex the other on a BMW7 series. I'm concerned on how my leather or leather type substance, seas will fare during this process but assume it can be done.

When did they start having Heated seats in the US models do you know?
Can you post a pic of your dash with the cutaway part?
