Hey everyone
I just picked up a facia for my MY05 lib so I can put a 2 Din DVD source unit into it. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a headunit that isnt going to catch on the facia when the scrren opens/tilts? I dont want to fork out the cash to have it not fit.

They should all fit, the idea of a DIN unit is that it is a standardised unit of measure.

In any case, another vote for Eclipse. I had the AVN6000 in my last car and loved it.

As Clarence said, all double DIN head units should fit this panel, some may need just a wee bit of modification/adjustment in regards how far in/out your head unit is mounted in the AV panel set's frame - but it should all work ok.

Not only does this Eclipse unit have a tilting screen, but the screen is a detachable portable Tom Tom GPS unit




Or, here's the Kenwood DDX5032 that I used to have that featured a 6.1" fixed screen so that you don't need to have a tilting screen


You may notice that I have a personal preference for head units with rotary volume controls and easy to locate hard buttons, these are easier
to operate when driving taking away the need to take one's eyes off the road to change/mute volume.

Were any of these head units are compatible with the steering wheel controls?

I don't believe there would be too many aftermarket head units that would be directly compatible with the existing steering wheel controls straight out of the box. That said, you can get one of those aftermarket steering wheel control modules from http://www.pac-audio.com to replicate this feature if they happen to have a unit that is suitable for your brand/model of head unit and match your model of vehicle.

The module for the Eclipse range to integrate with the Liberty/Legacy is the PAC SWI-ECL2.
