thinking to purchase a set if its at the right price, im not sure if theres any difference in the muffler sizes between the gt and the 3.0bspec, so could someone also clarify that for me also?

Would be second handers b/c brand spankers are too expensive, im got a reply from phat Gt today so i may still be going to get hes muffler.
But if all fails i think sti is the way to go if i can get a good price!

Dwayne, have you tried hooking these up to the Phatback dump and 3" centre? Wonder what it sounds like and how free flowing it might be? I'm sure people with a dump and 3 centre looking for a more quiet solution might be interested.

Hey Jim, as Dave's reply above, after speaking with him, I personally wouldn't do it. It would be much quieter, I have no doubt. They also flow better than standard mufflers, of that I ALSO have no doubt. But mating them with a 3" centre and Phat DP just wouldn't flow quite enough for my particular preference.

The setup I have (phat DP, 3", phat quads) is fairly vocal, but quiet(ish) at idle, and acceptable at cruising - I must admit I wouldn't mind it a little quieter at cruise speed, but I can live with it for the WOT sound.

I semi-regularly shuttle CEO's, CIO's etc. around, and I must admit it will be a tiny bit embarrassing. The STi quads would suit those occassions a lot better. As I said, they definitely would be quieter, and I think the backpressure would be OK, so I think you're right in that it would definitely suit someone looking for a quieter solution.
