Cause it wont pass if he has the STI puppies on? hence why you just get a stock pipe get it passed the put the STI's back on.

my 84DGT was in an accident, (most likely a write-off) Insurance will take the car away, and i would really rather they didnt have my million dollar milo tins haha
its already bad enuff that i cant swap out my STI ECU for the stocko liberty ECU

(for some reason the car wont start with the stock ECU but does with the STI one??)

Apparetly its an STI computer out of the STI Liberty.
it was installed and tuned by STI in sydney somewhere
(this was done before i bought the car)
the computer has STI sticker on it LOL
also gave me the stocko computer when i bought the car..
altho when i tried plugging in the standered computer the car wouldnt start?? just turning over

hmmm so plug in the standard ECU and the reason it doesnt start is possibly due to the accident

tree or pole? How'd the driver (presumably you) fare in the accident?
Oh, and have a chat to Subaru, they might be interested in having a look at your crashed vehicle (and various information pertaining to the incident) to learn how it has coped in the crash

That sucks about your ride dude, but if its anything similar to my VX Commo, you need to have the subaru equivalent of tech 2 run on it when swapping the computers to bypass the security settings...
