Really get a Polk mm or db or kicker etc 8" a half inch spacer and enjoy better bass even on the stock amp.
Try eBay or amazon for price n ship.
Heaps of diy's here
Mite have a spare db in the stash if ur local ;)
Oe cardboard subs are all but blown up, or try your local self serve wreckers and various part outs on eg facey

Thanks for the suggestion,
My problem is that without knowing a lot about speakers/subs i think i am useless.
Will it be able to drive a better sub ? and there is like the single coil and double coil, the response... thinks like that.
It's been hard to find a nom 35W max 70W sub.
and then there is the brands.. kenwood, rockford fosgate, pioneer, kicker, JL, jbl, lanzar, db technologies, vibe, boss, etc
There's a lot around the 50-80 dollar mark on ebay.

any help appreciated on how to select one.

Thanks,
mfroes

You have tried and trusted brands and models in my reply.
Vendors online, how to's in this forum.
A basic install is the same as replacing stock, just add a spacer etc.
Or go a little further and add sound deadening to improve rattles and buzzing, nvh.
