Looking for some bolt on rear mufflers for my 2004 H6, have been looking at HKS specs and Sti genomes. Located mornington peninsula VIC. New to these forums so feel free to give me some advice on this post. Cheers

Hey mate just checked out your post, do they give a bit of a note on the 3.0? I'm looking to get a bit more noise but keep it subtle. Also will they bolt straight on?

you know for around $100 or so I often see wrx 2014 to 2017 quad tip mufflers (usually includes the Y pipe).

I know that bolted onto my gen 4 and sounded way better.


In fact I've also bolted those same mufflers onto my Gen V and they fit as well. Just not the Y pipe for - too short for gen V.

the tbsti's give a little bit more noise but are not obnoxiously loud. it all depends on the rest of your system if your keeping it stock or not.

the mufflers on sale bolt on straight away whereas the new wrx quad tip mufflers need some adjustment to fit

Ok cheers fellas couple options! What needs to be modified on the wrx mufflers for them to fit? The real idea behind just doing mufflers is that if i want to put it back to stock it will be a nice easy change over, so don't really want to be welding stuff etc. Which case the STI's sound like what I'm looking for

iirc intake pipes and flanges changed, hanger position changed to fit wrx mufflers. tbsti's mufflers bolt on

Sounds like what I'm after then! Would you take $380 for them by any chance? Also where can i buy the flanged gaskets?
