Looking for a replacement engine (or LHS cylinder head) for my 2007 MY08 Outback BP9 with the AVLS

I have a left hand side cylinder head from a MY09 liberty 2.5i.

Its of an engine with a blown headgasket so it would need to go to a machine shop.

What made you need one?

Hi Surge,

Seems that the one that I had on my car has warped outside of specifications for fixing, car didn't overheat but it appears something went wrong and now need to look for either a head or a potential new engine.

Any idea on how much you'd like for the head?

I see, well the head I have did overheat so it may turn out just like yours. Probably not worth mailing out.

Thanks anyway - I've gone with a used engine from the auto dismantlers now - should hopefully pick the engine up on Wednesday and look to fit to the car over this coming weekend!

New (second hand) engine now fitted to the car and we are off again!

Got some spares now so if anyone needs something for EJ25 SOHC let me know and we can see what we can do
