Locking lug nuts

At the moment, it's just to work out if they're worth buying.

I've heard that if someone is determined, they just use an undersized socket and hammer it on to the locking lug nut and they can get your wheel anyway.

do most people use the locking lug nuts?

For the cost of $20 for some of the cheaper sets, it's certainly a worthwhile deterent. Yes there are determine and professional people out there who may be able to bypass it in the end, but why not make it harder for them?

I ran an order with McGard lock nuts a while ago - they are the same as the STi "limited edition" ones at half the price. (the 16+4 combo with unique locks)

I sold them for $140 a set back when the dollar was high - I don't know what they are worth now.

I got a set today. I went to a couple of places and checked out what was on offer. in the end, it got a set that was cylindrical on the outside and needed a key to fit into the end. there were others which were similar but open right through - i figured they were probably easier to get off then the ones i got.

I just got myself a set of Volk TE37s, so I'm keen to have a little security.

thanks all.
