Hi All,

So I recently decided to go Front mount. I have done very little research and I don't know what to look for and what not to look for.

Basically I'm after a full kit. But none of the $500 ebay crap. I do have preferred brands I.e. Mishimoto, Avo (Although Avo costs ~$1,500), process west or Plazmaman.

I don't want to spend over $1000. I'm not going for crazy power (still running stock turbo).

Reason for FMIC decision was a small performance upgrade as well as aesthetic improvement.

In a nutshell, I'm after a full kit that's cheap but a proper brand. Any suggestions?

A few guys on here have used cx racing kits and have been relatively successful...just be aware that bolt on isn't always as easy as it seems.

I've seen some kits like AVO that you have to chop out some of the mesh in the front bar, so there goes your aesthetic gains.

Flipped core setups are generally best as the piping is slightly shorter and doesn't interfere with fog lights etc.

Re plazmaman, you're looking at about 1k, maybe more, just for the core.

Generally speaking, as always, you get what you pay for. I think cx racing is the only kit that fits in your budget.

Thanks for the information. I wasn't too convinced about the quality of the cx racing core and piping.

I've found other kits that seem to be of quality but I don't know if it will fit the post facelift specb.

I have the HDi kit as do a few others - I haven't fitted it yet, but by all accounts it's better than the cxracing kit.
