Hi all,

Its my first post here but I was just hoping to get some opinions from people here.

Im looking at purchasing a 2008 MY09 Liberty 3.0r SpecB Manual, it looks really good from the photos and has full subaru books. Fully loaded with sat nav and the works. They are asking 12,800 for it (however I talked them down to 10,500) only problem is it has higher km's then I would like at just over 185,000..

Ive owned H6's before (circa 2002) and had no problems.. but I was wondering if there is anything in particular I should be looking for with this generation of vehicle?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated , cheers!! :D

Some questions?
How handy are you on the tools?
How many kays do you plan to do a year?
How long do you wish to keep the car?

I would not be scared off by that 185 thousand on a 3.0R-B.
When maintained correctly the engine is strong and long-lasting.
The 6MT is as strong as an ox.
The Gen4 parts are readily available.

I love working on my Subarus.
They are a wonderfully well engineered car and realistically everything is serviceable.
Keeps the cost of ownership down.

If you do under 15 thousand kays a year then there is eight years or trouble free motoring enjoyment to be had before you need to think about anything?

If you plan to buy the car for a year or two and then on-sell it then maybe you want to find a lower kay example?
The wrong side of 200 thousand is a magical mental point for many buyers of Spec-Bs.

Anyway, What ever unit you buy, get a KiDo E85 tune!
