Hi,

Looking for a set (left and right) headlights for a Pre-FL Gen 4 Liberty.

I am only after the lenses as mine are cracked/crazed throughout the lens and the inside of the headlights have gone cloudy. Obviously the UV Layer has broken down. Had one apart today to replace my Halos and attempted to repair the lens but it hasn't made a difference.

If anyone has a set in good condition (no cracks, cloudiness or oxidisation on the lens) please let me know. The back part doesn't matter so much (wiring, projector) as I only need the lens. Mine is irreparable.

Bought them from eBay in the US, the plan is to remove the lenses from the new ones as that's the only section I need as the rest of my light assembly is fine. The only issue with the US ones is that they are designed for LHD and there's a difference in the position of the reflectors. If you wanted to use the whole light you might be able to swap the internals around so they should become compatible to use with RHD but I'm not sure ?? It still worked out to be a cheaper option as wreckers are wanting about $600 - $700 a pair and they are far from perfect for that price It was under $500 for a new aftermarket pair shipped

So after a recommendation from another forum to get these lights, it turns out they are not usable. Not only does the mounting clip at the bottom not exist and the plug in a completely different spot, turns out these lights don't even have parkers. Well, it is a twin element indicator bulb and the wiring harness and plug is completely different. So no spot for parkers. Cannot even use the lens as the housing is a completely different setup with several more clips and screws and a different shape overall. The internals are useless as they are for a LHD car and the shroud cannot be used as it has no spot for a parker and also has an ugly orange/yellow plastic piece on the end for the indicator/parker.

A complete waste of time, money and effort. Now I have to beg for a refund and lose around $100 (Im guessing) in shipping to get it back to the states. So if I'm lucky, Ill only be $180 out of pocket at the end of this endeavour, as I had to pay for shipping to get them here in the first place.

Hopefully this will discourage anyone else from attempting to purchase new lights from overseas, especially for the US Model. I had a feeling they wouldn't fit but took a forum member's advice and went ahead with it anyway. An expensive, and very frustrating lesson.

Now I am back to Square 1 and stuck with a pair of useless US Headlights.
