Ultima's are garbage shocks. Mate had them in a lowered ford and they carked it within 10,000km.

As far as a mega budget shock is concerned I went with Monroe Originals. They aren't the best but they are better than Ultima. Have a 2yr/40,000km warranty. They are non ride height dependant so will be fine for lowered King Springs. That said, King Springs are a stiff spring too. So don't go lower than low (25mm) or you'll bounce the kidneys out of your family.

my bad, ill rephrase that....

ill be using king spring standard height, if i go down that path.

ive had the complete opposite experience with the ultima, had them on a standard height car and lasted a couple of years!

maybe they dont like lowered springs up em

either way, thanks for the advice shav.

hoping someone has some bilsteins.... ive had them in a few cars and loved em!

That's fair enough if you go standard height springs. But the Ultima's are a short sock so they should handle a lowered spring.

Get in quick if you see Billies as they tend to sell fast. They are not cheap new.
