WTB Subaru Trailer/Towbar Plug

I'm happy to pay good money for an original Subaru Trailer/Towbar connector.

Mine is the flat 7pin style that was probably a dealer install. It's damaged and I can't find an aftermarket one that's an exact fit (not keen on drilling new holes).

Wreckers don't want to split it from a whole towbar, and dealership can only order a whole towbar kit.

Oh  . Yep, you're right.

I just get water on mine. And it only works intermittently.

Fantastic, thanks Geoff! :D

I was fairly sure Subaru used another manufacturer for the connector. But didn't know who - until now.

And it's great that the hinge which I'm missing, is a separate part. So I can just check the wiring, clean the contacts, replace the broken piece, and leave the Subaru branded piece in place (it's silly, I know, but I still want it to say Subaru :P )

I can confirm that the NARVA 7 Pin Flap Trailer Socket - Part# 82042BL is exactly the same as the dealer installed Subaru one I had :D .

The only difference in that newer models (incl the ones Subaru use) have a cover plate that clip on. Whereas the old ones screwed on.

So unfortunately I couldn't use the piece that said Subaru....damn  ! Oh well. Everything else is the same incl mounting holes (which was the most important thing).
