BL/BP liberty custom headlights

Postby Jap_spec » Sat Mar 15, 2014 3:04 pm

Hi guys
I found this on yahoo auction, but just wondering if anyone here can do the same but without LEDs.
It's a dual projector headlights (HID) with led ring. Blacked out with coloured ring.

Thanks

I wonder if it is legal to have them in Qld, they have hi and low beam hit projectors. So I will run two hids(hi and low) also they have kid kits for the fog light as well. Does anyone know anything about them?

Unless they are-

Factory fitted

OR

Are approved under ADR (have been installed with required safety equipment - auto levellers, washers & proper HID projector lenses)

then they are illegal

BUT in saying that- Most of us on here run HID's in at least our Low beams (retrofitted - Post-FL come with them stock), quite a few of us have them in fog lights and a few High Beam.

As long as you don't go over 5,000K or at the most 6,000K; and ensure they are aimed correctly then you shouldn't have too many issues with the local constabulary.

Also keep in mind, it is an offence to use fog lights in clear conditions in most (if not all?) states of Aus

Thanks for the info!

Ok so it is still illegal than, do you guys get pulled over for the head lights?
But I'm still pretty keen, it look little different from usual headlight mods.

Yes I pt is illegal to have fog light on or the head lights during the day or clear condition.
When I had a supra I got it done for having fog lights on. $40 fine was issued.

Go 5,000K and ensure the projectors are aimed correctly and you shouldn't have any issues

You are allowed to have low beam headlights on at any time, just not fog lights
