Hi all

I'm new to this forum and unfortunately don't have a Liberty - or any other Subaru - yet.
I currently drive a Holden Adventra LX8 wagon but looking to replace with a a MY07 Subaru Liberty GT spec B tuned by STI black manual sedan in with under 120,000kms (ideally under 100ks) in excellent condition.
Would prefer unmodified and away from the coast (rust/corrosion). No damaged models and nothing worked - eg. 18psi turbos. Light mods (eg. exhaust/air filter/turbo timer) are fine.

My requirements are:

• Full leather interior (I think MY07 only; MY06 may have suede inserts and MY08 has mesh I think?)
• Gold Brembos
• Full service history
• Sunroof (I think this is stock?)


Preferred options:
• Charcoal Enkeis (if I can't get these with the car will be looking for a set ASAP after purchase)
• Factory navigation

I'm based in Melbourne so would prefer one in Victoria but would travel interstate.
I may consider an auto with tiptronic but only if it is immaculate and/or enticingly priced.
I may also consider a GT with some of the STI options, but would definitely need to be under $25k. Probably close to 20k.

My LX8 is currently advertised and I intend on purchasing as soon as it sells and I find the right one.

Have you looked on carsales, there are three right now - but just realised that none satisfy your km/transmission criteria.

I've scoured the web and unfortunately there's only 3 in Australia I can find which match my criteria (~100ks, man, black, MY07), but 2 have slight damage/stone chips and none have the charcoal Enkeis.

The auto one in QLD looks mint, but I wonder whether I'd regret buying an auto. If it was in Melb I'd definitely check it out.

I noticed that too ... presume it's a custom one saying "Liberty GT tuned by STI" or something similar.

Not sure why it has Legacy badges though (American owner?), and odd to not include a photo of the STI engine plate with build no.

Perhaps the owner is a member of this forum and can answer.

And good grief that's specific. I think you might be waiting a long long time for one that matches your spec and has no stone chips.

Has a few additions, such as the calipers painted silver to match the car, but thats easily changed.

Yeah probably, but I know what I want and that's it....

Thanks - saw yours - immaculate, but I only want black and definitely want the full leather seats (MY07 only?)

The 07 models are the ones with black seats yeah, but its not full leather. Its a perforated leather type insert in the middle.
The 08's have the Alcantara inserts which are arguably more comfortable. Being alcantara, it also helps prevent your bum sliding in the seat.

Also, with the 07's, only the drivers seats is electric. Where with the 08, both driver and passenger are electric.

When i first started looking, i too wanted black. My old man ended up buying a silver Liberty through work, and i fell in love with the colour and had to have one.

Yeah that's them. The perforated centre bit it leathery but not 100% sure what the material is. It is thinner than the rest of the seat.
think they might call it black but it's a bit of a stretch. It's dark but I wouldn't say black.

Yeh, not exactly sure what the exact material is, or if its just a super thin leather?

Iv read heaps of build threads (not just Subaru), where people have used upholster dye, to dye the grey alcantara inserts in the 08's black. Looks sensational!
One guy with a BMW dyed his entire tan leather interior black. If i wasnt selling, i would definitely have a look at getting it done.
