specb badge

Postby jp928 » Wed Feb 20, 2008 8:47 am

Ok, I got my 2 badges. One is available. Cost me US$102.40 delivered ~=A$114, so $57 + postage to first to PM me.
FYI I got them from Chaplin Automotive in Washington state (AKA subarugenuineparts.com, P/no=93073AG560), ordered 12 Feb, arrived today, USPS flat rate envelope at US$12.50. They are flat (4mm), you would probably get 6 in the same envelope at the same postage rate. The web site doesnt calculate the postage properly, but I made email conatact with a Jamie in web sales, and he fixed it fine.

Can somebody who has installed one of these please advise how they went about it? Peel cover off the sticky back of the Spec B part, but leave it on the Legacy part, line up Legacy over Liberty, and stick it down?

Thanks,
jp

JP, I stuck my Legacy (without the Spec B) part on recently :)

It should come in a blue template, I hope you got this as it lines up with the corners of the rear bootlid and lights and all you need to do is peel the back of the badge off, line it up and press.

I only had the Legacy part so I lined the Spec B part up first and then stuck it upways. Hope that helps!

End result below (without the Spec B) I think it is straight enough :D

I cut the foam right below the "Legacy" section (which incidentally is the one now on Trieu's car ;))

Then lined the top edge of the foam up with the bottom of the existing "Liberty" badge (and centred it left to right).

on the wgns they can tend to look a bit crooked because of the lines of the rear panel and the boot lid.
