i bought them gunmetal, then powder coated them satin black...probably no good for you i spose?

Yer probably not although I've been wondering whether getting the rims I want and having them silvered (however that might be done) is an option?

How has the powder coating kept up?

yeah cool, no probs.

to be honest, i went for a cheap powder coating place and i guess thats because, well, theyre relatively cheap rims...and im cheap too...hehe

BUT...as warned by many a forum member - pay for quality first time round and youll be better off in the long run. if i was to coat the rims again id use the same guy that majority of forum members use or pay more for a better quality job at a high end place. but, initially i didnt really know much (slightly new to the car enthusiasts scene) and i was happy with the result...but now i got a new set of the same rims in factory flat black - waaay better on close inspection.
its not like the paint will ever peel or anything, its more an issue with thickness which has caused difficulty tightening the bolts etc - not a problem i like having - but in terms of heat etc- no dramas.

however, I will try, in future to avoid after market painting, particularly on the most expensive rims. not sure if i ended up answering ur question!
