ok so I had a normal space saver spare... Sort of just relised it wont clear my brembo rear :(.

let me know if anyones got anything.

If no one has anything ill go ebay but I thought I would ask first to help someone get rid of a spare wheel lying around :).

The only liberty wheel that will clear is an 18" STi wheel.

Or you could go a 17" Impreza STi wheel.

you will also have to think about the tyre you put on it to suit the rest of your 245/40/18's as one of those wouldn't fit in your boot

cheers Hamish :). im only looking for something like around 17x7 215/40/17.

would only do around 5km's on it ( to the closest tyre shop) as I keep a spare NITTO NT05 245/40/18 in the shed :).

Does that 215/40/17 match up rolling diameter wise. I know you say the closet tyre shop but It would be hard on a saturday morning driving interstate and bang, you need to drive a good distance on a tyre that might cause havoc.

Give a tyre shop a call and see what they suggest

True and Great example. if something like that was to happen... yes I would have to do closer to 50-100kms to the next town. Would put some strain on my diffs. Would deffiantly keep it to 50/60 km/h to be safe.

But I dont drive my car on those types of trips. Ill give it to my bro for the weekend and take his Z3. (Yes i drove the lib to phats when it wasnt Brembo'd)

I only do 5,000-10,000 km's a year on the lib. Yes its my Daily. But I will take a different car if I need to travel a distace away.

Do it once, do it properly.

215/50/17 is a near perfect match in rolling diamtere for your 245/40/18's. Can pick these up cheap for the spare and should fit in the wheel well.

Just need the STi 17 now. :D
