I am wanting to know how much for an upgrade to the stock Liberty top mount intercooler?

From MRT, a (I think Hyperflow?) TMIC is $1261.xx. I know because I looked last night :)

I'm interested in either an AVO one or a Hyperflow one. Are you interested in doing the upgrade? If so I will email Hyperflow or AVO and see if we can get some discounts if we order multiples.

A few months ago I got someone in the trade to contact AVO for a trade price he was quoted $720

I thought that was a very good price.

Yes that is a good price. RRP for that is $799USD.

Guys, if you do upgrade, count me in also... that price from AVO is a good price if it is in AUD.

I think from Hyperflow... it is about $1170.. (don't quote me) but you can get a discount I believe something like 10% off.

The cheaper the better for us all :)

If you do put this in than shouldn't you also retune the car to suit the larger IC?

I don't believe so from what I have heard (correct me if I am wrong) but no need to retune.

The car will just recognise that the IC is working better and re-adjust itself.

SkoobyGT, can you elaborate on this? I remember you mentioning something along these lines...

I think you should get it retuned, however it's not *necessary*.

You should tune it so that it takes advantage of the extra colder air. There is a chance of detonation otherwise.

According to MRT, they say you must...

I think i might get that done with MRT as I tend to play it safe. I'm in need for my scheduled service and will probably get that done as part of it (providing they don't try to rip me off)

So does this mean we want to organise for a group buy discount on TMICs soon?

I'm happy to organise it; however, since a few of you on here don't seem to trust me, someone else can administer and organise everything. I've personally dealt with AVO and Hyperflow a few times though, so I might/might not be able to negotiate better.

I've got confirmed pricing with TMIC upgrades if anyone's interested. $100 saving if there's three people (myself and two others) for an AVO cooler.

I got $795 for 3+ AVO coolers...

AVO has five in stock in Melbourne at the moment.

Also - Ben's quote of $720 was ex GST, so +GST = what I was quoted.

i was going to get process west to make up some for our cars, but he's been too busy with the wrx and forester stuff. if you are after wrx / forester stuff though, i'm a process west dealer.
