G'day All,

The BMW is finally sold and I'm ready to return to the Dark Side of Suby ownership, having been there thrice before.

The only snag to the entire plan is that the purchase has to satisfy Dr No. So, here are the parameters I've been given:

1. NO TURBO. This really only leaves me with the option of a 3.0 litre if I am going to have any get up and go at all.

2. Fewer than 95,000km on the clock. Actually, Dr No says 80,000km but I'm pushing the limits higher in the hope of snagging something more interesting.

3. Few (preferably no) engine mods. Apparently 0-100 in under 7 seconds is already sufficiently fast. I don't understand....

4. Budget. $22,000 on the road. If the car is interstate, then the airfares of going over to get it come out of the budget (I'm in Adelaide).

They're the mandatory ones. The others are simply preferences such as not black, manual over auto and a tow bar but none of these are necessarily deal breakers.

My preferences are that some cosmetic upgrades such as rims and body kit would be good because the chances of Dr No saying yes are minimal once the car is in the garage.

Sedan or wagon doesn't matter. There are good and bad reasons for both and we have owned both in the past so this is not an issue.

I have already trawled the internet sites and have a few email notifications setup with them so I already know what is out there; I'm looking for what is not out there just yet.

Bump! BMW went yesterday *sigh* and now have some cash burning a hole in my pocket.

Keen on a couple I have seen but still like to know what might be lurking out there.
