I'm doing the reverse camera install for my MY07 GT B wagon w/ McIntosh Sat Nav, so I should install one of these at the same time.
Let me know if yours is for sale! I have ordered the camera plug from
jtco@sympatico.ca already.
If I have to buy an Ea1251 online, I believe my choices are:
Amazon:

Also, should I take the opportunity to install a video-in RCA socket adjacent the stereo-in already in the center console armrest bin?
I believe there's another socket ready for this on the back of the McIntosh.
Cheers, Ben

If anyone in Melbourne would like to assist me with the install, I'd be happy to pay, or do a favor, slab of beer etc...
Or if anyone can recommend their installer, I'd be glad to use them! Ben

One more thing - can anyone recommend a reverse camera? I've seen the pod type on the forum, but can anyone recommend a CCD license plate light replacement camera for Gen 4 wagon?
The mount on this looks smaller than those on my wagon:

How did you go with this one mate? Got any step-by-step instructions on your install? what setup did you end up with ? I'm just thinking about that reverse camera setup and would welcome any tips and tricks.
Thanks heaps

You can benefit from my experience for sure!
My cam will be routed into the factory sat nav and I have both the reverse camera and aux video rca cables in place already.
When I went to install the camera, the first from Jaycar, was pal/ntsc so the picture didn't diplay properly, so get an ntsc only camera if possible.
The second ntsc ccd camera from Autobarn I blew up! I poked the wires into the reverse brake light holder and an inline voltage board (or similar) on the camera cable fried! More research, the positive wire from the camera is tapped (using wiretaps from Masters) into the positive reverse light and the negative or ground goes to a local ground on the body, in my case there's one under the trim on the tailgate. The ground is easy to find as its a termination point for a few wires, is attached to the shell and is marked "E" or "G". Wire taps are simply clips that slightly cut the insulation of a wire allowing electrical contact for a secondary wire, available from any electrical or hardware shop for a few dollars.
I guess I probably read that somewhere but forgot in my rush to get it done.
So live and learn, the $$$ and time I spent could have been used to get a professional to do the job properly!
I'll buy another Autobarn camera (or a less expensive cmos from eBay) and give it another crack soon!
As for the iPod input, check out the superthread here for all info.
I'm loving the Belkin Aircast Auto BlueTooth into the factory aux-in in the center console cubby, but will upgrade to the yet-to-be-released AnyCarLink iPod/BT model via Aboutsound in NZ.

Hey Ben just wanting to know how u went with the camera install and how the other unit went does it allow u to play music n videos through the nav screen via the iPod iPhone and was it just plug n play with the stock items?
The reason I ask is I have a 08 gt wagon with factory sat installed with mcintosh stereo n really wanted to use the screen to play kids shows or movies if possible searched everywhere and haven't been able to find much, would also like to play music from iPhone through stereo even if it is via sat nav.

Its just a yellow video rca input for the stock nav screen.
Its a separate input to the reverse cam.
As for audio, just use the optional factory aux in direct to the stock HU.
Failing that get one of the interfaces that uses the CD changer plug, eg Anycarlink etc.
I thought about it, eg 2 iPads for the rear seats, with mirrored video to the stock nav via the dock plug and the audio via BT to the HU or just 3 or 4 sets of BT headphones for the passengers. Leaving the driver to enjoy music and calls via the HU and just hit the info button to check the nav map.
Very possible.

But yeah you'll need to do the handbrake and on the move hacks to enable the Nav screen to be used in motion as a video screen iirc.
I'm dedicating the i9000 to virtual gauges only so I didn't need to adapt the audio-out part of the headphone socket output, just the video.
Basically every channel is skew whiff requiring some study and adaptation of the polarities...
I could do it and get an android compatible SWC interface, but I'm happy with just handfree calls and music via iPhone to the Belkin BT and the i9000 Torques gauges on the nav screen.

Pretty sure I posted elsewhere about the cam install, too.
