Wagon Tailights OEM 03-09

After a set of OEM tailights for my wagon.Pre or Post facelift.

Pre and post are not the same. I bought a set of LED tails from a pre-facelift, told they would fit (maker said they would), but they didnt fit my post (08 gtb). The corner where the angle changes stuck out nearly 10mm past the tailgate level.

I've had both styles on my car and they fit fine.were they OEM or aftermarket?

What? Really I have seen a couple of facelift taillights on predestineds and after market ones suit both..

What can I tell you - they were by Marsperformance, sold to me by a guy on the list with a pre-facelift, AND THEY DIDNT FIT properly. I took the car down to their outlet down the bay, they looked at them and went "mmmmm , dont fit properly do they", took some pics. I sent them back and got a refund. They were smoked over Led tail/stops, with ordinary bulbs for turns, and looked really good on my diamond grey wagon...but they were just a little bit wrong.

My reading of the ad was that the seller had a pre-facelift wagon, and he said they should fit both pre and post (hopefully based on makers claims), I assumed that they correctly fitted the pre model, they should fit my post. A casual glance at pre and post taillights and tailgates would not reveal the small difference I found (5-8mm protrusion). Sadly, once I saw the difference, it was not something I could live with. Only gripe is I piad shipping in both directions, for no result.

here is a side view of the mis-fit I saw on my post facelift wagon....Note the bottom and up to the groove match fine, but above that....

maybe your bootlid is out of whack

Std lights line up sweet as you would expect, these dont, so I doubt its anything else.
