My advice when buying a car is to keep your story straight with the person that you are buying from.

The sale of a vehicle is a two way trust between the buyer and seller. If you jerk around the seller whom is doing his best to help you in every way and is being considerate of your personal circumstances, then returning the favour by being honest and up-front would be the courteous thing to do.

The last wanker that I sold my to car to jerked me around no-end and that was an annoying experience for me. I hope you are not like that guy as I would never wish that upon a seller.

No one made you sell the car to irish. Clearly you have an issue, but as you said a sale takes 2 ppl. It was your choice to sell the car, if the price was too low or you got jerked around too much then its easy to not go through with the sale. Once the car is sold the buyer can then do what ever they want with the car.

Irish had his house btoken into and his car stolen and written off. Whatever the details of his story are and how truthful they, may be, it would still be a horrible experience.

whatever your personal feelings are towards the guy, for the sake of the rest of us please just let it go .

I have just provided generic comments around the sale of a car and tips on how to deal with others. Indeed a new owner of a car can do anything they like with their new car, that's fine, no disagreement there. I have not mentioned that the price was too low when I sold my car and if I had chosen to sell at a low price, that would be my choice anyway.

Buying from a private person is not dissimilar to buying from a dealer, there is a certain element of trust involved from both parties.

brent that was not about you as you must have think it was, i bought a crap box for $300 and they guy was a complete toss tried to even give him the money back for the petrol left in the tank....

on you brent you were fine up untill i handed over the money as soon as you paid off your lease and then has this sad puppy look on your face i even offered to drive you home but you declined. so we said we were going to play some poker at the casino for a few hours. you then started with the bullshit "i thought you had no more money blah blah blah whinge whinge whinge" i just sold my 2010 brand new ford territory for 44k obviously i had money left but i wanted to get it cheap as possible as ANYONE buying a car would.
then you went out of your way to not give me the spare key and threatened to throw them in the bin if i didnt pick them up on the monday betwwen 10am and 1pm from your works reception in melbounre knowing very well i was from sydney.
your a bad sport, your the most spiteful person i have ever dealt with.
fact is i got one up on you in the sale and now your laughing at my familys suffering.
just remember the time you "chuckled to your self" about our ordeal, because when something bad happens to you just know that karma's a bitch!

If anyone wants the whole email trail around the sale of the car, just PM me. I've already sent it to most of the guys on here that have asked for it.

It will make for the most entertaining reading you'll read for the last month and make you realise exactly what I was dealing with!

(FYI - You actually sold your Ford Territory for $36,200 (not $44k) - it's in the email you sent me along with a link to the carsales website with the full vehicle details. Just how did you get an extra $7,800 more than your advertised price?)

brents comments are all lies thats why.

the whole mucking him around thing he is talking about is BS the back and forth emails was me trying to get him for the lowest price possible, everything i told him about selling my car and how much money i had was BS i was just doing my downright best work to get the best price i could....NAME 1 PERSON ON EARTH WHO WOULDNT?
as soon as he agreed i flew down from sydney he picked me up from the airport we went straight to the bank got the cheque made up for fleet partners as his lease was up and he had to either pay the full amount or renew a lease.
shows how pathetic it all is when he still has MY CAR as his profile picture!
NO ONE CARES BRENT DONT YOU GET IT?
SOUR GRAPES MUCH?

Line start here.

Or is everyone else on this forum a dishonest illiterate person with no negotiation skills and even less integrity?

Mr Irish says karma comes back to bite you, well perhaps it did.

I'm guessing that very soon the booth of you will run out of warnings on here. Air your dirty laundry elsewhere please and get back on topic. If I wasn't on tapatalk (iPhone) I would report this.

No one gives a flying Fire trUCK about the email trail you have saved for god knows how long. The whole forum community has finally been getting back to normal after some unpleasantness in the past which has been resolved and everyone has moved on. FFS, your issues with Picasso may or may not be legitimate, I don't know, I don't care, no one does. Just leave it out of a public forum. Build a bridge man and if that doesn't help, go see a counsellor. I have been seeing one once or twice a week for a couple of years, it has helped me work through my own non forum related issues and it helps a lot.

I never complained at the purchase / sell price. I was happy to sell him the car after i flogged it or over 2 years with half bald tyres and a major repair - no longer my problem. I'm not sure what the problem is.

garbo here is a 100% truthful statement
I SWEAR ON MY KIDS,PARENTS AND MY ENTIRE FAMILYS DYING OATH MAY THEY BE STRUCK DOWN DEAD RIGHT NOW IF IM LYING, THAT UNTILL 2 DAYS AGO I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM,SPOKE TO OR COMMUNICATED IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM WITH BRENT THE GUY I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM SINCE I HAS TO ARRANGE PICKING UP MY SPARE KEY A WEEK AFTER THE SALE OF THE CAR
so i have no idea why he is doing or saying what he is but the guy has some serious issues.
and it needs to stop because with everything going on in my life right now the last thing i need is this.
a 1yr old daughter with a broken leg, a 4yr old with night terrors becuase of the break in, a wedding in 8 weeks and insurance company taking there dam time along with me needing an ankle reco i think i have enough on my plate.

Std08GTB wrote:Hi Guys, I'm most likely selling the GT-B next week and have an offer on it.

What do you think it's truly worth?

Semi-Auto
Tinted windows all round<--- this is a lie but i found that out on the day and let it go
Pearl White
Tuned by STI @ Docklands (complete with sticker on the back) 12kw ATW extra
Not flogged, just a commuter <----is this a lie
Half-life Hankook tyres <-----or is this a lie
Mud flaps and mats
Nil crash history. Tiny door dint but otherwise perfect. <----or was this a lie?

BRENT YOU ARE EITHER A COMPULSIVE LIAR OR JUST TRYING TO CAUSE TROUBLE! (PROBABLY BOTH)
but here let me go on and quote a few more of your posts about your

This is an interesting discussion with some interesting numbers.

I'm an MY08 GTB with V-Tune. Have almost done 25,000kms.

I often drive from Melbourne to Sale (200kms), or at-least part of the way.

If I'm really careful and stick to 100kmh indicated (which is probably really only about 94) I get around 6.4 - 6.5 per 100.

If I drive normally at around 105-110 indicated, definitely no more than 7.3-7.5.

Around town if I drive normally and not firewalling it, around 10-11. Worst I have seen is 13.5 average but it was all stop start.

WHAT ABOUT THIS ONE?

Std08GTB wrote:Postby Std08GTB » Wed Apr 01, 2009 12:24 pm
I can't drive mine in Sport Sharp mode, it's too twitchy and annoying. It will drop down a gear for the tiniest of throttle press and stay in that gear for way too long. Sometimes if you were overtaking the logical gear might be 3rd, but it will go into 2nd and rev to redline before going up to third - not always what you want.

I have had a v-tune so I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

If I'm accelerating hard in Sports mode and change to Sports sharp I don't notice any difference to speak of - the same can't be said for i mode though. I just drive around all day in S mode.

NOT ONE OF YOUR POSTS BACK UP YOUR STORY.
YOU HAVE BEEN OUTED YOU LIAR!
all your doing is intentionally making up stories to get me to lose my cool and get barred from asn.

FAIL
