McIntosh Head Unit

Postby Ric » Mon Sep 17, 2007 7:15 pm

If anyone is ripping the McIntosh Unit out of an MY05/06, I'm interested in picking one up do to some experiments with.

(I want to try some ideas for handsfree phone and GPS input that may or may not work.)

It would be a bonus to get the underseat amplifier module also, but it's mainly the head unit I'm interested in.

(Incidentally, there's a 99% chance the head unit will survive my experiments if you ever wanted it back. I'm an electronic engineer with 25 years experience ;))

Ric, you're more than welcome to come and test my unit - I'm keeping mine though :P but if you just need to probe, then by all means. If you kill it, I want an MY07 Mcintosh unit :D

That's why I'm after a "spare", so I know how much I'm out of pocket if something goes wrong (plus it's a bit easier to work on out of the car.)
Anyway, I'll probably take you up on that as soon as I start getting some spare weekends :)
