Any particular reason you are after an OEM sub? Are you looking to replace a dead driver or an upgrade of sorts??? If you are looking for an upgrade, I would suggest something aftermarket. But if it is a replacement you are after then just tell me to shut my trap lol. I do have an OEM Mc sub but I am looking to install it into my Sherpa. If that falls through I will let you know.

I think I read somewhere that sunspares in Qld had some McIntosh gear for sale a while back.

I am looking to replace the current one as it has a tear in it and the rattling is driving me crazy.. I have bought some speaker glue and im going to give that a try first as a new one from subaru is over $400! Let me know if you dont end up using it.

Nah it's all good man. I didn't even notice it either until one of my mates said something, but it was easily fixed with some speaker glue. Was the hazard lights flashing when you had it? I don't care I'm the idiot for not checking it out, just wanna get it sorted. The car is awesome, just wish I got a manual now :/

Haha

Yeah that's the only reason I sold it was for the manual. But really there only fun if your really feeding it to it.

Yeah nah I have no ideas with that flashing thingo. But whatever the he'll that thing is thats cabletied wherever it was.... cut it out. If Subaru don't know what it is, it is not stock so get rid of it.

Buut in saying that make sure it's not wired to something vital. Say ignition system haha

Maybe a result of that flat battery I had the night before you bought it and he lights just stayed on. Have you tried an ecu reset? Taking the negative terminal off for 10-20 secs and then hooking it back up?

Im not sure man. Not the most technically minded.

Be careful on this forum mate. It'll take your money and turn it in to car parts. Trust me

Yeahh i have tried all that and nothings changed, i think i might have to have a better look but yeahh its defiantly not stock. How does the STI perform compared to the GT?

Compared to your GT it's different. Because it's a totally different engine.

But from what I've picked up the 2.5 seems to pull harder like more torque but the 6 speed seems to allow the engine to just rev high and not really do much. Whereas the 2.0 may not have as much torque but it seems to pull alot more smoother through the gears because of the 5 speed and turbo setup.
Its just my opinion. It may be totally wrong but that's how I perceive it.

But the 07 GT and 07 GT Sti.... Can't say I've driven a normal GT. But from what I read there isn't really much difference performance wise. Just the claimed 10kw extra at the flywheel.
But they have extra goodies like the brembo brakes, billstein and pink spring suspension, the Sti rims and few little aero things chucked on

There not a "Sti" just "tuned by Sti" so you can make a normal GT look exactly the same with a little extra coin.
I'd still have the Sti though just for a little bit of exclusiveness albeit minor its still there and I have a badge telling me a build number. Wank factor
