WTB: Hitech mufflers

Postby TorpedoCreative » Wed May 18, 2011 10:49 am

I'm after a set of Hi-tech Mufflers (the sort with the twin tip). I had them on my last GT and loved the sound level. If anyone has a set they want to get rid of let me know

cheers

perhaps give hitech a call about these...i would jump all over them but not quite ready for exhaust mods just at the min...

Are you after Ariths phat quads because they have the K2 tips, or just after PHAT quads in general?

not so fussed about the K2 tips (although they do look the goods)I really just after mufflers that breath better than the standard cans.. I liked the hitechs on my last GT so I know what to expect if I get them again, but Ive also heard good thing about Phats mufflers too.. so i guess we will see

The Phat quads would be the way to go mate. They sound awesome on the EJ25T & are better designed then the Hi-Techs.

Just my 2 cents :)

yeah, the "Phat's" are a much better straight through design than the Hitech setup. Larger internal diameter, no sharp corners in the flow path (including a nice rounded y-section at the inlet to the can). They are physically bigger and more evident from the rear unless you paint the rear plate on the cans

any new set he makes will be a different body. They should still be as good, if not better than the old ones
