I found the same. I had to search for 6 months to find my GT. Good condition ones are rare in SA.

haha yeah, did you get interstate or locally ? even if there is a real nice one locally, the price is always skyrocketed.

and i would love to check out some adelaide liberties some time. should come by my restaurant for a meal some time :)

Well there is a heap that is keen for a cruise so I'm sure that will eventuate quite soon

Where is your restaurant?

I ended up finding one in SA. Bit of a drive but nothing like Melbourne or WA where i was considering. Had to wait 6 months for a good one to pop up and again overpriced as they get snapped up quick. Although over priced in SA they are cheaper then factoring in plane ticket, fuel back, milage put on from trip, surrendering interstate rego and passing it through regency.

Wish my parents contributed towards my car.

Actually no I don't. I'm proud of the fact I bought all of my cars on my own money :)

Yer, ok, I'll throw my hat in the ring!

Another SA guy in the market for a Liberty - although I am yet to convince my good lady that a turbo is an essential item of equipment and so might have to go for a 3.0l instead. I have to sell my 2005 BMW 318i M-sport, though, to fund it (maybe I should be joining a BMW site as well...)

It's always frustrating going through the carpoint/carsales listings, narrowing things down to what you want and then looking across to see none listed as being in SA. I don't have a problem with the car being interstate - I like the idea of a roady to bring it back - but the Regency thing can be a concern if the car has a few mods.

And Clarence, I covet your Liberty and would dearly love to have you part with it and send it my way - but I would have to have the sales skills of an ice salesman in Lapland to convince my partner that she'll simply love the turbo.....If I bought it from you, would you drive it back with me and be my human shield when we arrive home?

cheers,

bj
