I am looking for a set of 19" or 20" wheels for my MY08 Liberty GT B.
Just wondering is there's any floating around?

Thats an easy choice... 19"...... Advan Connoisseur 151c (hehehe). Damn their sexy rims!!
http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?t=3111Not sure if that "one set, per colour, per state" rule is still in place
If so, its been breached... spotted white tuned by sti in sydney city about 10 months ago with a gunmetal set...

They are nice rims mate, but pricy. My budget's around $2000 and was after 20"s

I found these and saw it on a wrx. Looks good and only $2K with Falken FK 452 Tyres but apparently the guy reckons i can only get it with 225/30Z/R20
30 Series tyres --------- sounds really thin. Any suggestions or does anyone have experience driving on 30 series?
http://www.7daytyres.com.au/products_cl ... rt_no=1860The same rimz on a wrx about a 1/3 rd down the page.

They change their quote, the Bast*#ds.
7daytyres reckons they can do the 20" with Falken tyres for $2200 delivery to perth
Payless tyres reckons they can do it for $2000 with Gemstone (wtf is this brand) tyres delivered to perth for $2000

One of the important aspects in wheel dimensions is the offset. The standard wheel offset is +55 mm. I got some 19x8 with +45 offset loaded with KU31 225/35 88Y tyres and had to have the guards rolled. I would suggest that a 20 inch is going to mean you will need to either maintain the +55 mm offset and stay with 8 inch width rims plus roll the guards in advance. Also, have the rims and tyres trial fitted and then have a knowledgeable person estimate the room left for suspension travel, cornering, braking etc. Make sure your purchase is subject to these checks prior to committing otherwise. If you only have the standard suspension, then it could be a nightmare with 20 inch as there will be no way to stiffen the suspension and reduce the travel. I am by no means an expert, but just sharing some potential pitfalls.
There is a dedicated Wheels and Tyres thread that is worth reading several times.

Rimz arrived, fitted and definitely look the part - I'll upload some pics soon. I've got coil overs installed, dropped the ride height to about 2.5" on the front and 2" on the back and looks alright. I was disappointed in my choice of Tyre size though. With 30 series Falken Tyre's, the 20" rimz don't stand out as much as the 19s on my previous car, but the ride is still pretty smooth, maybe even smoother than with the standard tyres, believe it or not. 35 series Tyres would have been a better choice but with only 2 fingers gap from Tyre to guard/fender, I'm not sure that's an option with 20s.
