Red Manual Blitzen Wagon

Postby BrentonRally » Mon Mar 21, 2011 1:30 pm

Hi guys,

I'm after something that might be too specific... A red manual Blitzen Wagon.... Have been scouring carsales for a few months and haven't seen any come up. Does anyone know of any for sale or someone who might have one who may be interested in selling? From what I can see prices seem to be around $25-$27k for something with 50,000-75,000k's.

Thanks in advance,
Brenton

I was looking at a Red Sdn at a dealer recently, and the salesman tried to tell me the sedans came only in red, and the wagons only in black. I laughed at him.
(Then, when I got home, I thought: I don't remember seeing a red wagon so far ? ) :) .

They definitely come in red:

Are u in Melbourne? There's a red sedan with 120,000 on the clock for $23,000 at Penfold Holden in Burwood. 2 owners, looks like highway k's. If it were a wagon I'd be grabbing it...but I don't like the idea of doing a wagon conversion :P

LOL. Yeah, I went searching and found a very old thread talking about SIX red wagons for sale at STI Docklands Melbourne, ex-company cars with under 10,000K on them.
I guess my query was, were red wagons part of the 200 (?) imported to Australia, and that confirmed it.
I'm in Brissie. Found one with 50-odd K's on it, and it drove well, but wifey decided '06 was too old, so we paid more for an '08 with 50k's on it. Go figure !
I'm still waiting for the novelty of the "gimmick" paddle shift to wear off, of course :) . I told the dealer initially I was interested, but it was WAY too dear at $31k (even with ODO @50k for an '06). He must've listened, coz a month later they dropped it to $25k and it went ! (Pro'lly just above trade in price, but "floor-planned", and had it way too long).
Good luck with your hunt ! One of only 200, but red, wagon, manual, not thrashed, bent, or too high in k's at the right price, not residing in Port Hedland/Darwin. You're going to need a lot of patience, I'm thinking.

Mmmmm

I suppose in order I need:

1. A Wagon
2. Preferably Manual
3. Preferably Red

But if the last 2 have to be swapped then so be it...but would like at least 2 or 3...if that makes sense :D

But yeah, hard to come by *sigh*

So you definitely need a wagon?
I wish you the best of luck but I have never even seen one Blitzen wagon in my life, and only 2 Blitzen sedans.

Any chance you would consider the 3.0RB post facelift wagon? After all the only reason to get a Blitzen (in my opinion) is for the Blitzen red colour, without that you might as well keep some other options open.
You will have an easier time than finding a Blitzen wagon, although even the 3.0RB wagons are hard to come by as everyone is after one.

A guy down the road from me had a red manual wagon for sale 2 years ago, i hadnt seen a blitzen wagon either, but i can assure you red wagons exist, but you might be in for a long search.
Can i ask what the specific appeal of the blitzen is to you??

Mmmm I suppose I love the interior and the front and rear bumpers. Oh and the red :) Dunno really...just seem to really like it :)

I spose a 3.0R-b with this front looks sexy too though :P

If thats a genuine add then thats brilliant. The last one of them i saw sold was about the $30k mark. (over inflated i know, but if people will pay it, then it must be worth that to someone.)

Bit of a trek, but a nice drive to become familiar with the car. :)

I've got some rellies in WA who'd be happy to drive it over for you :) . (They haven't toured Tassie yet).
Pro'lly based the price on the red sedan I looked at. They quit it off at under 25k with a dealer warranty. Looks great if genuine, as you say.
