They will ft, but you will lose your steeing wheel controls, and the dual zone button on the Aircon will just spin and do nothing.

You may have to modify a conection or 2 for different interfaces, and im sure with some muching around yu would be able to modify the steering wheel connection to work as well.

Someone on here has done it. Cant remember who, and it was mid last year i think. But i have a feeling its in the wanted to buy thread somewhere. :)

I have one loose in the garage, but its also a dual zone unit.
Change over to a good unit, as I have. Split facia from AVO or japan parts, HU of your choice....

mmm thanks guys... ill have a look to see if i can find a thread on that Mac conversion.

ATM im just looking to do the cheapest option possible which i figure is if i can find someone willing to let go of their Mac unit that matches my car... im not overly technical so prefer not to go down the whole modifying to fit my car route.

i've managed to find one from the wreckers considerably cheaper than that one i just thought i'd try my luck on here. and now overly keen to go aftermarket double din at this stage due to the cost, ive been on a spending spree lately haha.

You don't need to go with a double din aftermarket headunit. A single din HU should be able to be installed and then you could put a pocket underneath. Single din will provide a much broaer range of units without having to fork out too much dough to get a decent unit. Will provide you with easier ways to integrated an ipod or iphone. Not to mention that it sound much better than the mac unit without having to replace speakers etc if you don't want to.

I've got a double din pioneer unit that I don't use any more. It's just during in the cupboard at home. Not a dvd unit but a good unit with ipod usb etc ill find the part number when I get home. I'd look at puting it in mine but the back lighting is blue and I want something that looks factory, but if let that go cheap. Full writing but no ipod cable.

OKOK, my situation, i have a 2.0r bl5 07 with just a standard kenwood 6 disc head unit, single air con zone.
I talked to one of our member here and read a few thread, that i might need to get a av panel stuff around 400 in jp in order to install the macintosh ( Dual zone ) one .

But Matt up there said it can fit easily just lose one of those button function.

So Wt exactly do i need to do for it.

Talked to the tech at autobarn. he said it cost around $90 to switch over, i mention abt the air con problem, and he said he 've done that before.

Can anyone get me a clue ? Thanks guys

hey dude, sorry for not responding to your last pm

in regards to your question? I'm not a real expert so I cant really tell you if it can be done?

but I'd just be careful with places like auto barn and other similar places....cause I have experienced and heard from other peoples car being dodged up and hacked....on the front dash it might look all good...but behind...it's a birds nest....
