It doesn't say what type of battery it is in the manual?

I would have thought it would, and then you can eBay it or something...

Open the key up and you will see the battery code on the back of the battery, take it to a watch place and buy one. Cost me $5 last time

Naldo,

Just take your existing battery to any service station,superemarket or a battery place. The remote battery is a stardard bat mate can be purchase anywhere.

Mine died about a year ago and I purchased it from a BP station.

As mentioned elsewhere, the battery is a CR2016 (correction, it is a CR1620)
You can get them at many places.
Here's a couple:
Jaycar. $3.95 http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID ... rds=cr1620
Dick Smith $4.29 http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.store ... View/S3222

Mae sure you don't touch the new battery with your bare fingers. Only hold it with a tissue or clean cloth.
(Otherwise oil from your fingers willl promote corrosion and going flat faster than normal.)

Clarance just said CR1620 and I just bought it last night.

Which one is right? CR1620 or CR2016?

Oops, sorry, CR1620 is correct. The Jaycar link is correct, the Dick Smith one is not.

Did you pop the new battery in already? All sweet?

See my note above. If you've already put the battery in, and you DID handle it with your bare hands, I'd recommend you take it out again, and clean the battery with methylated spirits before placing it back in your key.

Still waiting to be sent out from ebay.

But I will keep remember what you said, don't use bare hands, but use tissue or cloth.
