hehe, one 3rd party reference (which could probably be bargained down) and one piss-take and you assume everyone is telling you you should be paying more than you're willing?

Preaching to the converted there mate. No one's telling you what to pay for it.

FWIW, I'm not in the market to sell a car I bought 7 months ago, so no, you can't have it for $25k :P

Ouch. Seem to have a bit if a raw nerve there eh. Gee your car must be the one of the ones that are over priced with too many ks! Feeling bad now eh? Maybe 7 months ago cars with 80,000km might have been worth 30 or whatever you paid for it. Not now. I value your obvious bargainig skills so will have you come along when I buy one to help me with the haggling! :D :D :D Thanks again (if you cant tell a pisstake either youre blind!)

now that one was a piss take. Not a great one but a piss take nonetheless

The previous couple were little more than moaning that no one was jumping forward to you with offers to sell their cars to you for the price you want.

Best of luck. As you allude to, the arse fell out of the 2nd hand market in October last year so you shouldn't have too much problem finding what you want. Just doesn't look like anyone in here has one for you

Hi,

the guy in VIC is getting me some more pics and the dealer in QLD rings me daily.

Last couple of days I park near a guy with a Fatboy Harley. Im now rethinking the whole thing. As 99% of the many km I do are up n down the F3 (did 120,000km in 3.5 years in my 02 sti. Done 35,000km in the 2 door in 15 months also), Im running good cars into the ground.

So this week's plan (subject to change like the wind :D ), is to get a run around for $5K-$10K, sell the '83 Hailwood Replica ($10K) and buy a bike I can ride more often ie Heritage Softail or a Fatboy (upwards of $25K for a ripper). And of course sell the 2 door. All up I'll be up a few thousand better off and wont feel bad for running a Falcoon or Bombawhore into the ground, instead of great cars. I still have the worked Fozza to get me my thrills with at the moment so.....

So may not be in either team now.

For anyone after a Spec B with 50,000km manual in either silver (QLD) or black (VIC), I know of ones for $24.5K and $24K respectively, that are for sale. So much for the prices others are asking!!

Shame Thommo shame.

Not a fkn Harley. Not unless you have some paddocks that need ploughing.

I can understand you wanting a more user friendly bike but ffs not a Harley.

Buy a Suzuki Boulevard M109R. Looks better, goes better, stops and handles like a bike not a tractor.

Or you could buy my Yamaha FZ1 :)

I know I know. They're tractor ploughs that's for sure. Brakes? Nah you dont need anything that'll pull up a 400kg+ (incl. rider), item in a short distance. That's not what Harleys are about. What? FFS!

I have a MHR now that squishes my gut/back/neck, definitely dont want an FZ1 (similar riding position Id guess - maybe a bit kinder??). But who knows what I may do. As I said, this week's plan is 2 posts ago. That was ages ago. I may now be getting a mini moke and putting a lada engine in it?? :D

hehe. Don't rule out any bike until you have had a go. The MHR has a much different riding position to anything else out there which doesn't have a Ducati badge on it.

True each is a little different but a racer is a racer. They all have very similar pozzies. Its a cruiser Im wanting. Armchair on 2 wheels. Harley ticks most of the boxes (not the one about decent brakes though). Great resale prices. Fuly sik look uleh. Boxer rumble etc etc :D

An FZ1 isn't a racer though. It's sit up naked. Still, it's not a sit back cruiser type. But if it's a Harley you want, go for it
