WTB GenIV fuel cap/tether

The stupid plastic tether strap snapped the other day due to Subaru not having any sweet clips for the fuel cap to sit whilst filling up.

No idea if the tether can be seperated from the fuel cap, if so... give me your tether strap. If not, give me your whole (lol) fuel cap assymbly.

Mine broke too bosco.

You can get the strap off, you've got to pull it over the top (I tried unscrewing it for ages).

I got a whole fuel cap (with the strap) from a wrecker for $10 second hand. Subaru is $60.

The cord is overrated.

The Gen2 is far more advanced in that it has a holder for the fuel cap on the back of the cover. Miss that on your RS?

Any GenV owners care to share what type of tether/clip their Liberty comes with? Upgrade from the useless POS on the GenIV maybe.

I still haven't worked out just how you have the cap stick to the flap when you're refueling.
