Front Bilstein struts

Postby matt_3.0rb » Wed Feb 16, 2011 2:43 pm

Looking for a set of front Bilstein struts for a wagon in working order, although i dont think sedan and wagon are different at the front.

Hoping someone has some second hand that they want to get rid of. :)
if all else fails i'll get the set from sydney, but was hoping to get just the fronts.

Thanks.

Matt, with the KM's on the car i'd just buy a new set.
then have yours sent off to be re-built/ re-freshed
then sell them off as an "as new" set

Thats a good idea. The quote to get the front 2 struts re-furbished was nearly as much as the new ones, so im thinking thats the way to go.

The new ones are my preference, but the mrs wants me to make sure there is no other way of going about it, spending less money. so i thought i'd see what was about.

my issue with what PA told me was definately the strut tops, which is the most common issue, turns out to be the front strut is stuffed and needs replacing.
