Wanting an AUX input for McIntosh system.

Postby LordFigTree » Thu Sep 02, 2010 12:26 pm

I have the 6cd stack McIntosh sound system in my car which allows an Aux input, only thing is it costs $130~ from the dealership for the cable alone, and it seems to be the only place to get a proper one.
So i'm posting here hoping someone has a spare or no need for one any more and can sell to me (or from the kindness of your heart, give to me), thank you.

I have ripped the whole Mcintoss out of my dash (and the amp), and fitted a DVD capable JVC HU - touched NOTHING else, and its MUCH better sound.
I have an Aux cable tucked up under the dash still because I couldnt be bothered working out where it ran to, and getting the new speaker cables under the carpet and down under the pax seat was a large trauma - had to remove the left seat. If I could sell the whole Mcintoss+ amp, it might be worth my while to get the rest of the cabling out....If I do pull it out soon, I will come back to you.
Considering the amount of work needed to pull the Mc HU out, and the tunnel cover to run the cable and fit the socket in the cubby, its cheap at $130 if that includes fitting. I ordered mine from new, and that price rings a bell....yes - $127.
