Where did all you perth boys get your dump pipes installed? Also is crucial to get a tune straight after installation, I'm leaning towards Ecutek at MAXIMUM motorsport $2000 mark, any thoughts.

Why? What sort of research have you done so far in terms of tunes? Try searching this forum on different opinions of EcuTek.

Dont do it Tony!

Go to Allstar Garage and get Sean to install the dump pipe and tune your car using open source flash tune called Verso. Will set you back only half the price and NOT lock up your ecu either. Great guys who have literally tuned 1000's of Subaru WRX's and Liberty's now.

It's not "crucial" to get a tune, it is however beneficial :D

I just installed my dump pipe with my friend on the weekend (easy to do yourself, just fiddly without a hoist) and the car/ecu has adapted to it nicely. Without resetting the ecu, it took about 2-3 days to adjust properly and is driving very nicely with great boost response now.

+1

The tune will optimise your performance with the dump pipe, but it's not critical to have one after installing the dump pipe. There are some people on here who have gone for over a year without a tune and they're running perfectly fine.

Just remember that the stock tune from Subaru is quite retarded and rich.

Yeah thanks for opinions guys, will go down to ASG tomorrow. Mates have done their wrxs at Maximum and steve seems to be pretty capable in tuning side of things!! Thought the price was a bit steep!!! Anyone on this forum had a tune at Maximum or is ASG the people to see?
