Managed to convince Phat today to use my car for test fitting of the coin tray. :P Fits perfectly! Opens very smoothly! Now just to line the bottom of the inner tray with some rubber to minimise the rattling, and also need to transfer the fuse chart label as well. I might just scan it in and print it out onto a sticker to put on the coin tray rather than go through the hassle of trying to peel it off. Lemme know if anyone wants pics. :D

Btw I spoke with Phat in regards to the push button start. It's not a universal kit like I originally thought, where you still need a key in the ignition. Nope, it's the genuine Subaru upgrade kit that comes standard on the premium JDM GT's. So it's got proximity sensing like the ones seen on the Lexus. You get a blank plate to cover the key hole, a keyless fob that the car will sense is in the car and allow the button to work, and a few other features within the kit. But yeah, it's not cheap! Probably looking at over $1k. :?

Jim,

1. Only ONE keyless FOB?
2. How do you unlock the car?

I would imagine if you stood next to the door it would sense the fob and un-lock, just a guess.

You'd hope so. If not you'd have to carry the key, the remote FOB and perhaps and alarm one.

Starting to be a big key ring.

Sorry, don't have further details as they were scant. But I would imagine you get a pair, not just 1. As for unlocking I don't know if they have the sensors on the door handles like the Toyota where you unlock it by touching the door handle, but otherwise FBO comes with an emergency spare key inside, but buttons to lock/unlock just like the standard alarm remote.

Id imagine that it would be something like- You walk up and pull the door handle, it senses it and checks to make sure the key is nearby. Even for $1K, i would seriously consider this 8)
