Phat GT,

I have had a HKS Panel Filter for a couple of years now. How long do they last? I just keep cleaning it and it appears near new!

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Hey guys I just got the HKS Panel filter and installed it, didn't really notice any difference in sound at all. My GT.B MY07 is completely stock at the moment apart from the panel filter.
Did I install it correctly, Phat GT said he would put a mark on it so I didn't put it in the wrong way as apparently it's not exactly square, but he didn't put the mark on it in the end.
I had the HKS symbol on the panel filter facing downwards and towards the car, is that the correct way?

Also should you hear much of a difference at all when installing one of these, I was hoping to hear the 'whoosh' from the stock BOV a bit when you change gears but nothing and I didn't hear any change at all in terms of turbo sound? PHAT GT also mentioned something about removing a bottle connected to the bottom of the air filter box to make it sound louder, has anyone done this?
Figured I would post this here instead of hassling Phat GT in PM's like usual :P

You can't really get the install wrong, there is only one way to install it, if you install it the wrong way round you will struggle to get the air box closed.

Removing the resonator (bottle on the bottom of air box) will increase intake sound.

I have done this along with a few other custom touches from Phat GT to the air box.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty
