Hey guys,

As you may have seen in my other thread im hoping to have weekly cruises for those who are keen. If the times are abit late, just post up and i will try to adjust to suite everybody :)

Well first cruise is set to Friday 27/11/09

Meetup point: Sylvania McDonalds - 9:00PM - 9:30PM
Cnr Princes Hwy & Formosa St Sylvania

Destination: Wollongong via "Happy Fun Land"

After we arrive at Wollongong we will stop at Fig Tree maccas for a coffee, bite to eat or just to have a rest. Afterwards we can head out to the light house for some happy snaps :). I will be continuing on to Macquarie Pass. If anyone else wants to join in, the more the merrier. For anyone that wants to call it a night we will depart from there.

May not be able to make this one mate as Dicky will only be arriving from Newie 30 mins before hand... But we'll see how everything goes.

Mac Pass at night is not a good idea dude... Blind corners & wild life... It's a long way down if something goes pear shaped... If you want a fun road, just stick to Nasho :D

I'd say Nasho is worse for wildlife at night than Mac Pass. By the same token I'd rather the southern end of Nasho than Mac Pass most days

less wild life in around mac pass then the national park. we done a run with rexnet last sat night up mac pass. awesome run:)

didn't see one animal and we were leading the way up the pass another good thing is you can see head lights coming up and down the pass. but same with the national park

Honestly mate,

The way i look at it. Its a public road. I have no say in what you can and can't do. But as we all know, we have our limits, and so do our cars. When doing night time runs especially i like to ask that people don't push too hard, as we all know the roads are dangerous, and it is extremely easy to slip up (as i have seen far to many times, and experienced afew times aswel).

My only rule that I place on these cruises are, that don't push yourself too hard. I think we would all rather not see anything bad become of these nights

I'll probably come down with a few of the Team Deception boys when you guys meet up, but we won't come for the drive sadly.

Next time mate! :D

I think the key word here is "CRUISE" not race, keep that for the track. :) It's no fun when you get a bunch or cars pulling way from the pack and disappearing around corners. It's more fun to stay together as a group. At this stage I'm penciled in, but it's a friends birthday that weekend, so not sure what her plans are for that night, if any.

Looks like you've got a few keen members Noozl :D

I strongly suggest members come to Sylvania Maccers, even if you're not up for the cruise.

It's always good to put faces to names & from my experience, it's a good way to get ideas for mods. Gives you a chance to see / hear things in the flesh :D

I'll be there for the meet up, along with a few of my other rev head mates... So come down, say G'day, have a bite to eat & all that jazz :D

Google Maps link for Macquarie Pass - It is actually the Illawarra Hwy which runs from Albion Park south of Wollongong through Robertson and down the back of the Great Divide to the Hume Hwy.

Google Maps link for the main North-South road through the Royal National Park

Google Maps link for the Waterfal entrance to the Royal National Park

IMO, Lady Wakehurst Drive (the southern half of the run through the RNP) is the best driving to be had. The northern section is ridiculously bumpy in quite a few spots. It is also quite open for a lot of it which can be pretty boring when you are gee'd up for a fun drive.
