Kangaroo Valley is an awesome drive :) I was there just recently, good cafe's and some nice places to take group shots with big open spaces.

They just repaved the windy road too! Nice and smooth....

Let me know the date, I may be able to tag along with you guys.

For sure! Still keen for that cruise :D

It can easily be done in a day as well (Have done it on the bike many times)... But I have to admit, in a car, it would be best to leave nice & early.

You basically head down through Nasho... Down the coast road... Through Jamberoo Valley & up Mac Pass to Robinson... Then you head towards Nowra etc...

Mt Kiera should be done at least in one direction if going down that way.

Here is an example of a day drive down through Kangaroo Valley and some good fun roads. (Mt Kiera is at Points D and O on the route :D )

I haven't done Jamberoo Mountain Rd (from Point J to K) in the car before but remember it as a tight one on the bikes. I might get down there one day soon and see what it's like. We could always abort the run back up the escarpment and continue on into Albion Park which is still a good bit of fun.

I reckon late autumn wouldn't have been a bad time to do these roads (early winter might even be ok) for a couple of reasons. 1: the cooler it gets, the less likely you are to have bikes (and tourists to an extent) around. 2: I wouldn't want to be hitting those roads for a hard drive in the dead of winter, particularly if I had semi slicks on the car.

Just a thought, would it be a good idea to drive down to Canberra to meet up with some members there?

I'm sure there are some windy roads along the way.... isn't there?

There's some pretty good options if you want to come to cbr.

Last cruise I went on, we found some really good twisty roads out near wee jasper. There's some b grade but twisty stuff out near honeysuckle creek and the air temp is usually about 5 to 10 degrees colder than sydney.
